We were founded by an experienced healthcare CPA who understands the unique challenges facing healthcare providers. The 1st Chicago Healthcare Accounting team works with hospital and office-based practices including physicians, medical groups, dentists and other healthcare practices.

Our team keeps current with industry laws pertaining to accounting and tax, insurance coverage and filing procedures. We are proficient in responding to your needs, the needs of your patients and the needs of insurance providers.

Brad Filmanowicz, CPA, MBA, EA

Brad Filmanowicz, CPA, MBA, EA has been practicing as a tax accountant and small business advisor for more than 14 years.

Brad earned his CPA in 1994 and a Masters Degree in Finance from Saint Xavier University in 1997. Prior to starting his own firm he was an accounting manager for Tellular Corporation a publicly traded firm, a financial planning accountant for Sara Lee Corporation, and a controller for Moran Industries.

His experience at Sara Lee taught him how to take Fortune 500 companies financial management skills down to the small divisional level, and later how to apply to small businesses.

He also built and sold an accounting firm in the past. He created Pro Accounting, Inc and built it to 120 corporate clients and over 700 individual clients. At Pro Accounting we focused on planning to achieve the lowest possible tax liability, incorporating Fortune 500 tactics to maximize corporate profit, and stream-lining accounting tasks for clients.
