To meet the needs of our clients, 1st Chicago Accounting was established as a Chicago accounting firm to provide accounting, tax, and business advisor services to corporations, small businesses and individuals throughout Chicago. Recognizing that each client has unique goals, we tailor our services to meet your specific needs. To better meet the needs of our clients, we have individualized services for clients in industries like medical accounting and dental accounting. These individualized services have enabled us to address your medical industry specific challenges, compliance needs, and standard tax practices.

Brad Filmanowicz

Brad Filmanowicz, CPA, MBA, EA has been practicing as a tax accountant and small business advisor for more than 14 years.

Brad earned his CPA in 1994 and a Masters Degree in Finance from Saint Xavier University in 1997. Prior to starting his own firm he was an accounting manager for Tellular Corporation a publicly traded firm, a financial planning accountant for Sara Lee Corporation, and a controller for Moran Industries.

His experience at Sara Lee taught him how to take Fortune 500 companies financial management skills down to the small divisional level, and later how to apply to small businesses.

He also built and sold an accounting firm in the past. He created Pro Accounting, Inc and built it to 120 corporate clients and over 700 individual clients. At Pro Accounting we focused on planning to achieve the lowest possible tax liability, incorporating Fortune 500 tactics to maximize corporate profit, and stream-lining accounting tasks for clients.
